Bobby says: “Kara split time last season between the midfield and forward lines. She did a great job in both positions and has become one of our most reliable goal scorers. I expect her to move back into the midfield this season but to continue to produce goals as she did last year. She has taken it upon herself to become more prominent in the air and that will help us both gain possession of the ball and put it in the net.”

2007: Named to the All-SCAC 3rd Team… played in all 19 games starting 18… scored 2nd most goals, 3rd on the team in total scoring with 7 goals for 14 points… 2nd on the team in conference only scoring with 3 goals for 6 points in SCAC games… tied for lead in game winning goals two of which came in SCAC games… scored the first goal and the game winning 3rd goal in a 4-2 come from behind win over NCAA DII cross-town rival CBU… scored second goal in 2-0 win over Hendrix… scored tying first goal in a 2-1 come from behind win over Methodist University… scored only goal and game winner in 1-0 win over Sewanee… scored first goal and game winner in 3-0 win over DePauw… scored the final goal in 8-0 shutout of ETBU.

2006: Fall 2006 SCAC Academic Honor Roll… played in all 19 games starting 15… assisted on Molly Buss’ game winner in 4-1 victory over Hendrix… assisted Anna Lee Blanton in 2-1 win over Delta State University… scored goal in 4-1 win against Maryville College.

2005: Started all 17 games in the midfield… scored 2 goals and 2 assists for a total of 6 points… assisted Caroline Voelkel in 5-1 come from behind victory over Rose-Hulman… assisted Rachel Haggerty on 5th goal in 5-0 win over Oglethorpe…scored both of her 2005 goals in 3-2 overtime win over Haverford.

Before Rhodes: Kara was a four time Academic Letterman and a National Merit Scholar at Midland High. She was selected to the All-District 2nd Team during her first two years and the 1st Team her junior and senior years. Her Alliance club team has won numerous tournaments including the Sting Texas cup where she scored in both the semi-final and championship matches.
