Bobby says: “Katy will again be asked to lead our team both on and off the field as a center back and captain. She understands our team and how we operate better than anyone. She will be called upon to lead a very experienced core of returning defenders and to help educate our younger players about our system. Her leadership will be crucial to our success.”

2007: Named to the All-SCAC 2nd Team… Fall 2007 SCAC Honor Roll… started 19 of 19 games at center back… notched 2 assists for 2 points… assisted Caroline Voelkel in 4-2 come from behind win over CBU… assisted on Caroline Voelkel’s 3rd goal in a true hat trick (3 consecutive goals) in 8-0 shutout of ETBU… voted captain by her teammates as a junior.

2006: Named 3rd Team All-SCAC… Fall 2006 SCAC Academic Honor Roll… started 19 of 19 games at center back… scored 1 goal on 4 shots for 2 points… SCAC Tri-Defensive Player of the Year for Week 10… scored goal on a shot from 20 yards in 7-0 victory over Oglethorpe.

2005: Fall 2005 SCAC Academic Honor Roll… Played in all 17 games starting 12… scored one assist for 1 point… managed 4 shots from her center back position… played free kick into the penalty area to assist with Caroline Voelkel on Katy Buckner’s game winning goal against Centre.

Before Rhodes: Katy was a Service Learning Award recipient, a member of the National Honor Society and Who's Who at J.J. Pearce. She graduated with Honors and is the Dr. J.J. Pearce Memorial Scholarship winner. She is a 3 year letterman that was selected to the Richardson All-City 1st Team as a defender and was also the District 10-5a Defensive MVP.
