Summary

Biography

Shauni was a three year starter on her high school team, where she helped her team advance to play-off’s four times (2008-2011) and win a State Championship in 2009.  A natural leader, Shauni was named captain of her high school team both her junior and senior years.  On the field, Shauni’s accolades included Maine All-State selection, First Team All-Conference, SMAA Top 25 Player to Watch, and Gladiator National Field Hockey Academic Squad.  Shauni is pursuing a Biology major at Rhodes and is also an athlete on the women's Lacrosse team at Rhodes, works in the Athletic Department, and is an Emergency Room volunteer at a local hospital.  After Rhodes, Shauni wants to pursue graduate school.  Shauni is the daughter of Dave and Patty Cowan and has one sister, Shelby.
