Summary

Biography

Makenzie Martin is from Normal, Illinois and attended Normal Community High School before coming to Rhodes.  During her high school career, she was a Big 12 Scholar Athlete and recipient of the ISHA Scholastic Achievement Award in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.  In 2011, she was also named to the Big 12 First Team All-Conference, was selected as a Pantagraph All Star, recieved the US Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award, and was honored with the Bloomington-Normal Softball Association Scholarship Award.  In college, Martin has been a two time NFCA Academica All American and was selected SAA Honorable Mention in 2013.  Away from softball, Martin is an active member in Delta Delta Delta Sorority and a Football Student Worker.  She is also a Memphis City Schools Tutor and a University of La Trobe Study Abroad Ambassador.  Martin is pursuing a major in Psychology and after graduation plans to attend graduate school to earn a Master’s in school counseling.
