Rhodes College Athletics

Margaret (Maggie) Mitchell is the daughter of Robert and Susan Mitchell and is from Highlands Ranch, Colorado where she attended Mountain Vista High School before coming to Rhodes.  In high school, Mitchell was a three year varsity player and letter winner in softball.  In 2011, she was a State Qualifier, Continental League Champion, and an Academic All-State team member.  In 2012, Mitchell was a member of the Academic All-State First Team, and a State Qualifier again.  In 2013, she was a captain of the softball team, and she was a member of the Academy All-State First Team.  For her 2012-2013 season, she had a BA of .385, a BA/RISP of .560, and a FP or .985 and in 2013-2014 she again batted better than .300 chipping in 19 RBIs.  Along with softball, Mitchell played two years of JV basketball and one year of JV golf and was also a member of the Eagles Nest (senior leadership club) and the National Honor Society.  At Rhodes Maggie is planning to major in psychology.
