Game Recap: Rhodes vs. Hendrix College
In a thrilling road battle, the Rhodes College men's soccer team battled back for a 3-2 victory over Hendrix on Sept. 6 at Warrior Soccer Field in Conway, Arkansas. The Lynx improved to 2-0-1 on the season after overcoming a second-half deficit and scoring twice in the final 16 minutes to secure the win.
After a scoreless first half, Hendrix took a 1-0 lead in the 58th minute on a penalty kick. Rhodes answered in the 72nd minute when
Matthew Sucato found the back of the net off an assist from
Vincent Stephens, leveling the match at 1-1.
Hendrix regained the advantage in the 78th minute, but the Lynx continued to pressure forward.
Brady Janes equalized in the 84th minute, setting the stage for a dramatic finish. With just 15 seconds remaining,
Luke Grant scored the game-winning goal off an assist from
Evan Holsinger to complete the comeback.
