Game Recap: Rhodes vs. Covenant College
The Rhodes College women's volleyball team battled back after dropping the first two sets but ultimately fell to Covenant 3-2 on September 19 in LaGrange, Ga. The Lynx opened the match with 25-23 and 25-23 victories before Covenant responded by taking the final three sets, 25-20, 25-18 and 15-7. Rhodes moved to 5-3 on the season.
Key Performances
Caroline Short led the Lynx offensively with 18 kills, followed by Isabella Kvetensky with 11 and Chloe Dunnigan with eight. Short also recorded three aces and 11 digs, while Emma Clark added three aces and finished with 27 assists. Anna Satterfield delivered a strong performance at the net with seven blocks, while Short and Kvetensky each added three blocks.
Rhodes finished with 54 kills, nine aces, 10 blocks, 50 assists and 66 digs. The Lynx also hit .168 for the match and matched Covenant with 73 total points.

Rhodes came out strong, taking the opening two sets 25-23 and 25-23 to move within one set of the victory. Covenant answered in the third set with a 25-20 win before taking the fourth set 25-18 to force a deciding fifth set.
The Lynx battled in the final frame but Covenant secured the 15-7 victory to take the match. Rhodes finished the contest with twice as many blocks as Covenant, 10-5.

The Rhodes College women's volleyball team battled back from an early two-set deficit to defeat LaGrange 3-2 on September 19 in LaGrange, Ga. The Lynx dropped the opening two sets, 25-18 and 25-23, before rallying to win the final three, 25-17, 25-23 and 18-16. With the victory, Rhodes improved to 6-3 on the season.
Key Performances
Caroline Short led the Lynx with a career-high 21 kills, while Yzzi Dsamou and Chloe Dunnigan each added 13 kills. Short also recorded three blocks and nine digs. Anna Satterfield anchored the net with six blocks, while Dunnigan added four.
Luca Prest led Rhodes with 23 assists, followed by Emma Clark with 20 and Chloe Davis with eight. Davis also posted a team-high 23 digs, while Meg Gebhart added 12 and Short finished with nine. Gebhart led the Lynx with three aces, while Davis and Clark each recorded two.

After falling behind 2-0, Rhodes responded with a dominant third set, hitting .387 while recording 16 kills to earn a 25-17 victory. The Lynx continued their comeback in the fourth set, overcoming LaGrange 25-23 to force a decisive fifth set.
The final set featured another back-and-forth battle, with Rhodes ultimately securing an 18-16 victory to complete the comeback. Rhodes finished the match with 61 kills, nine aces, 11 blocks, 58 assists and 70 digs.
Game Recap: Rhodes vs. Huntingdon College
The Rhodes College women's volleyball team earned a convincing 3-0 victory over Huntingdon on September 20 at Catherine Dixon Roland Arena in Montgomery, Ala. The Lynx took the opening set 25-21 before edging Huntingdon 28-26 in the second and closing out the match with a 25-16 third-set victory. Rhodes improved to 6-2 on the season.
Key Performances
Yzzi Dsamou and Chloe Dunnigan led the Lynx with 10 kills apiece, while Isabella Kvetensky added nine. Emma Clark paced the offense with 24 assists, followed by Luca Prest with 16. Meg Gebhart led Rhodes with 19 digs, while Ashley Adams recorded 11 and Clark added 10.
Hadley Wright and Dunnigan each recorded three blocks, while Anna Satterfield added one. Gebhart, Chloe Davis and Prest each contributed an ace.
Game Highlights
Rhodes controlled the match offensively, finishing with 45 kills compared to 30 for Huntingdon. The Lynx also held advantages in hitting percentage (.167-.099), aces (4-1), assists (41-30) and digs (62-49).
After taking the opening set 25-21, Rhodes battled through a tight second set before securing a 28-26 victory. The Lynx then finished the sweep with a 25-16 win in the third set.
