Maria Zaporozhski and Alder Dickey sparked Rhodes' comeback in the second half. Zaporozhski scored at 46:36 with an assist from Dickey before Dickey found the back of the cage at 49:50, assisted by Virginia Shuff, to bring the Lynx even at 2-2.
Rhodes finished with a 14-11 advantage in shots and put nine shots on goal, matching Ohio Wesleyan's nine. The Lynx also earned five penalty corners, while Ohio Wesleyan had five.

Ohio Wesleyan opened the scoring at 17:22 and added another goal at 42:56 to take a 2-0 lead. Rhodes responded quickly in the second half, scoring twice in just over three minutes to erase the deficit.
After Zaporozhski cut the margin to one, Dickey tied the game at 2-2 at 49:50. Ohio Wesleyan ultimately scored the deciding goal at 70:52 to secure the 3-2 victory.
Despite the result, Rhodes showed its resilience by overcoming a two-goal deficit and finishing with the advantage in total shots.

The Rhodes College field hockey team bounced back in a big way, defeating Kenyon 5-1 on September 20 in Danville, Ky. The victory improved the Lynx to 5-1 on the season as Rhodes controlled the match from the opening minutes.

Bella Spina got Rhodes on the board just 1:21 into the contest before Meredith Dunn converted a penalty stroke at 3:37 to give the Lynx an early 2-0 advantage. Spina added her second goal of the afternoon at 41:40, while Alder Dickey scored at 45:46 to extend the Rhodes lead to 4-0.
Maria Zaporozhski capped the scoring for Rhodes at 57:25, giving the Lynx five goals on the afternoon. Rhodes finished with 20 shots, including 14 on goal, while holding Kenyon to six shots and five shots on goal.
