Game Recap: Rhodes vs. Wilson College
The Rhodes College field hockey team remained perfect on the season with a 2-0 shutout victory over Wilson on Sept. 11 in Washington, Pa. The Lynx improved to 4-0 after controlling the match offensively and holding Wilson without a shot on goal.
Rhodes applied pressure throughout the contest, recording 25 total shots and 13 penalty corners. After three scoreless quarters, the Lynx broke through twice in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
Key Performances
Maria Zaporozhski opened the scoring for Rhodes at the 50:42 mark, recording her second goal of the season and giving the Lynx a 1-0 advantage.
Meredith Dunn doubled the Rhodes lead just 1:40 later, scoring at 52:22 off an assist from
Abbie Wallace.
The Rhodes defense delivered another strong performance, limiting Wilson to just four total shots and zero shots on goal. The Lynx also recorded their fourth shutout of the season.

After playing to a scoreless draw through the first three quarters, Rhodes broke through early in the fourth. Zaporozhski scored at 50:42 before Dunn added another goal less than two minutes later to give the Lynx a 2-0 advantage.
Rhodes maintained the shutout through the remainder of the match to improve to 4-0 on the season.
