Game Recap: Rhodes vs. Hendrix College
The Rhodes College women's soccer team continued its perfect start to the 2026 season with a 3-0 shutout victory over Hendrix on Sept. 11 at Warrior Soccer Field in Conway, Arkansas. The Lynx improved to 4-0-0 on the season after scoring three second-half goals and holding Hendrix to just four shots.
After a scoreless opening half, Rhodes broke through in the 58th minute when
Ella Mullally found the back of the net to give the Lynx a 1-0 advantage. Rhodes continued to pressure offensively before
Maddie Carter converted a penalty kick in the 76th minute to extend the lead to 2-0.
Hadley Carrington capped the scoring in the 79th minute, finding the net off an assist from
Savvy Palmer to secure the 3-0 victory.
Key Performances
Mullally continued her strong start to the season with her fourth goal of the campaign, opening the scoring for Rhodes early in the second half.
Carter added her first goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 76th minute, giving the Lynx a two-goal cushion.
Carrington recorded her fourth goal of the season, scoring in the 79th minute off Palmer's assist to put the match out of reach.
Game Highlights
Rhodes controlled the match from start to finish, outshooting Hendrix 30-4, including a 12-2 advantage in shots on goal. The Lynx also earned 15 corner kicks while holding Hendrix without a single corner kick.
After a scoreless first half, Rhodes scored three times in a 21-minute span to pull away. Mullally opened the scoring before Carter converted from the penalty spot and Carrington added the final goal.
The Rhodes defense limited Hendrix to just two shots on goal and recorded its fourth victory of the season.
With the victory, Rhodes improves to 4-0-0 on the season.
