Baseball earned strong recognition across the 2026 Southern Athletic Association postseason awards, with Rhodes College well represented through major honors and a deep list of All-Conference selections in
Rob Schrier's first season as head coach.
Highlighting the awards for the Lynx was
Corbin Martens, who was named
Rookie of the Year after an impressive debut campaign. Martens made an immediate impact and also picked up Honorable Mention recognition, underscoring his consistency throughout the season.
Rhodes also secured one of the conference's top team honors, as Schrier and his staff were named
Co-Coaching Staff of the Year alongside Trinity. The honor marks a significant achievement in Schrier's first year at the helm and reflects the program's growth and success over the course of the season.
On the field, the Lynx placed multiple players on the
First Team All-Conference list.
Brad Larson earned recognition in the outfield, while
David Albert was selected as a starting pitcher following a strong season on the mound. In relief,
Jackson Stanyard was honored for his work out of the bullpen. Behind the plate,
Cooper Angilly earned First Team honors at catcher, and
Ben Daniel was recognized in a utility role.
Rhodes continued to show depth with
Second Team selections, including
Austin Smith in the outfield and
Will May as a relief pitcher.
Additional recognition came through
Honorable Mention honors for Martens,
Ryan Fallmann,
Sam Reardon, and
Myles Kruger, further highlighting the balance of the roster.
On the
Sportsmanship Team,
Jonmarc Ranallo represented Rhodes, earning recognition for his leadership and character throughout the season.
