Match Recap vs Sewanee
The Rhodes College women's tennis team fell 7–0 to Sewanee: The University of the South Saturday morning.
Sewanee took control early, sweeping all three doubles matches to claim the opening point. The Tigers earned decisive wins at Nos. 1, 2, and 3 to carry momentum into singles play.
In singles action, Sewanee continued its strong performance, winning all six matches in straight sets to complete the sweep. Gracie Rask and Agda Laakso competed at the top of the lineup, while Lilly Higgins, Claudia Ribeiro, Sofia Rodriguez, and Violet Taub rounded out the Lynx lineup.
Match Recap vs Centre College
The Rhodes College women's tennis team bounced back with a 5–2 victory over Centre College Sunday morning at home.
Rhodes secured the doubles point with wins at Nos. 1 and 2. Lilly Higgins and Agda Laakso edged a 7-5 victory at the top spot, while Claudia Ribeiro and Gracie Rask dominated 6-1 at No. 2 doubles. Centre picked up the No. 3 doubles match.
Carrying that momentum into singles, the Lynx won four of six matches to clinch the team victory.
Gracie Rask led the way at No. 1 singles with a strong 6-3, 6-2 win, followed by Laakso's 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 2. Higgins added another point at No. 3 with a 6-1, 6-4 decision.
The clincher came at No. 4 singles, where Sofia Rodriguez battled through a tight three-set match, 7-6, 3-6, 6-3, to secure the fifth point for Rhodes.
Centre picked up its two points at Nos. 5 and 6 singles.
With the win, Rhodes responded well after Saturday's match and continued conference play with momentum.
