Match Recap vs Trinity University
The Rhodes College women's tennis team fell 7–0 to Trinity University (Texas) Saturday morning.
Trinity took control early by sweeping all three doubles matches to secure the opening point. The Tigers earned decisive wins at Nos. 1 and 2, while narrowly holding off Rhodes at No. 3.
In singles play, Trinity continued its dominance, winning all six matches in straight sets to complete the sweep. Gracie Rask and Agda Laakso competed at the top of the lineup, while Lilly Higgins, Sofia Rodriguez, Claudia Ribeiro, and Violet Taub rounded out the Lynx lineup.
Match Recap vs Southwestern University
The Rhodes College women's tennis team dropped a tightly contested 4–3 match to Southwestern University Sunday morning on senior day.
The match opened with a competitive doubles point, but Southwestern ultimately claimed two of the three courts. Gracie Rask and Claudia Ribeiro earned a strong 7-5 win at No. 2 doubles, while the Lynx came up just short at No. 1 in a 7-6 decision.
Rhodes responded in singles play, battling back with three key victories.
Gracie Rask led the charge with a dominant 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles, while Agda Laakso followed with a hard-fought three-set victory at No. 2, 6-1, 6-7, 7-4. Sofia Rodriguez added Rhodes' third point with a solid 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 4.
With the match hanging in the balance, Southwestern secured wins at Nos. 3, 5, and 6 singles to clinch the narrow victory.
Despite the loss, Rhodes showed resilience throughout, pushing the match to the brink in a closely contested conference battle.
