Box Score 3 Match Recap: vs. North Carolina Wesleyan University
The Rhodes College men's tennis team fell 6–1 to North Carolina Wesleyan University Friday evening at the Leftwich Tennis Center.
North Carolina Wesleyan opened the match by sweeping all three doubles contests to claim the early 1-0 advantage. The Bishops earned wins at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 doubles to take control heading into singles play.
Rhodes' lone point came at the top of the singles lineup, where Oliver Bonovich delivered a strong performance. Bonovich battled through a tightly contested match to defeat Ben Russell 7-6, 7-5, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
The Bishops secured the remaining singles matches to clinch the team victory. Christian Mainella pushed his match to three sets at No. 2 singles but was ultimately edged by Adam Singleton, while Paul Fridman also forced a deciding set at No. 3 before falling in a competitive battle.
North Carolina Wesleyan added straight-set victories at Nos. 4, 5, and 6 singles to complete the match.
Match Recap: vs. DePauw University
The Rhodes College men's tennis team fell 4–1 to DePauw University Saturday morning at Leftwich Tennis Center.
DePauw secured the early momentum by claiming the doubles point. The Tigers picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, while the No. 2 match featuring Nicholas Miloi and Erwann Monnet was left unfinished.
In singles play, DePauw extended its lead with victories at the top two positions. Finley Buelte defeated Oliver Bonovich 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 singles, and Scott Anderson followed with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Christian Mainella at No. 2.
Rhodes earned its lone point at No. 3 singles, where Paul Fridman delivered a strong performance with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Paul Castleman.
The Tigers clinched the match with a straight-set win at No. 5 singles. Matches at No. 4 and No. 6 singles were left unfinished once the team result was decided.

The Rhodes College men's tennis team earned a 5–2 victory over Hendrix College Saturday evening at Leftwich Tennis Center.
Rhodes secured the early doubles point by winning two of the three matches. Christian Mainella and Oliver Bonovich opened the scoring with a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles, while Owen Fellrath and Topher Thornberry followed with a 6-2 win at No. 3. Hendrix picked up the win at No. 2 doubles.
In singles play, the Lynx claimed four of the six matches to seal the team victory.
Mainella delivered a strong performance at No. 2 singles with a 6-3, 6-4 win, and Paul Fridman followed with a comeback victory at No. 3 singles, rallying after dropping the first set to win 3-6, 6-3, 6-0. Nicholas Miloi also battled back at No. 5 singles, earning a 4-6, 6-0, 6-0 victory.
Conner Lloyd added the final point for Rhodes with a tight 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles.
Hendrix earned its two points at Nos. 1 and 4 singles.
With the victory, Rhodes capped off a strong performance at home as the Lynx continue their spring campaign.Â
