Women's Lacrosse Battles Hard with Randolph-Macon

Game Recap: Rhodes vs. Randolph-Macon
In a fast-paced contest filled with back-and-forth energy and relentless effort, the Lynx fell to Randolph-Macon College by a final score of 17–14 in Ashland, Virginia. The matchup featured multiple momentum swings and several late pushes by the Lynx, highlighting Rhodes' determination and resilience throughout the afternoon. 

Key Performances
Maddie BeVier and Alban Erdle led the scoring effort for the Lynx, each scoring three goals. BeVier delivered key finishes in both the third and fourth quarters, including a player-down strike that helped Rhodes' late push.

Payton Stevens and Caroline Kardian each added two goals, with Stevens also contributing an assist to help facilitate the Lynx offense during several critical stretches. Anna Samuelson, Sadie McRae, Sam Horowitz, and Delaney O'Mailey each found the back of the net as well, demonstrating Rhodes' balanced scoring attack.
McRae and O'Mailey also played important roles in the offensive setup, each tallying assists and helping generate scoring opportunities during Rhodes' third-quarter surge.

Defensively, the Lynx battled off the turf and in the air as they tallied 14 ground balls and 8 caused turnovers. Rory Monahan took away 3 possessions from the Yellowjackets and BeVier scooped up 4 balls off the ground to capitalize on the other side of the field. 

Game Highlights
Rhodes matched Randolph-Macon's intensity early, trading goals throughout the opening quarter. The Lynx took a brief lead following strikes from McRae and BeVier before Randolph-Macon edged ahead 4–3 by the end of the first. Rhodes continued to respond with timely goals from Horowitz and Erdle to keep the contest competitive heading into halftime. The Lynx delivered one of their strongest stretches in the third quarter, scoring five goals and cutting into the deficit with a late run capped by back-to-back goals from Samuelson and BeVier. Rhodes carried that momentum into the fourth quarter, continuing to fight until the final whistle. In the closing minutes, the Lynx struck an impressive late push, scoring three goals in under a minute including goals from Erdle, O'Mailey, and Stevens to close the gap and showcase the team's persistence and attacking mindset.
