Game Recap: Rhodes vs. Oglethorpe University

In a commanding conference-opening performance, the Rhodes College women's lacrosse team defeated Oglethorpe 15–5 on March 21 in Atlanta, Georgia. The Lynx delivered a complete performance on both ends of the field, using a dominant first half and relentless offensive pressure to secure the decisive victory.

Rhodes controlled the game from the outset, holding Oglethorpe scoreless for over a quarter and building a massive lead behind an explosive second period. The Lynx's defensive discipline and efficient scoring attack set the tone early, allowing Rhodes to cruise to its first conference win of the season.

Key Performances

Payton Stevens and Delaney O'Mailey led the offensive charge with three goals each, combining for six of the Lynx's 15 goals. Stevens added an assist and sparked multiple scoring runs, while O'Mailey made an impact in key situations with both man-up and man-down goals.

Despite a late push from Oglethorpe in the fourth quarter, the Lynx remained in control. O'Mailey capped off the performance with her third goal of the game to secure the 15–5 victory.

In a high-powered offensive display, the Rhodes College women's lacrosse team defeated George Fox 17–7 on March 22 in Sewanee, Tennessee. After a competitive opening quarter, the Lynx took control behind a dominant second and third period, showcasing their depth and scoring efficiency.

Rhodes responded to an early tie with a decisive run, outscoring George Fox 11–1 across the second and third quarters. The Lynx's ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities and maintain defensive pressure proved to be the difference, as Rhodes steadily pulled away to secure another double-digit victory.

Key Performances

Sam Horowitz delivered a standout performance, leading all scorers with five goals, including multiple momentum-shifting strikes that fueled Rhodes' offensive surge. Her aggressive attacking and finishing ability consistently put pressure on the George Fox defense.

Payton Stevens added two goals and an assist, continuing her strong stretch, while Maddie BeVier, Alban Erdle, and Caroline Kardian each contributed two goals apiece to support the balanced attack.
