Men's Golf Competes at Jekyll Island Invitational

Rhodes College men's golf battled through three rounds of competition at the Jekyll Island Invitational, playing two rounds at Pine Lakes before closing at Indian Mound. The Lynx showed improvement in round two and were led consistently by Christian Iwai throughout the event, ultimately finishing tied for 26th overall.

Round 1 – Jekyll Island GC (Pine Lakes)

Rhodes opened the tournament with a team score of +13 in the first round.

Christian Iwai led the Lynx with an even-par 68, carding a 33 on the front nine and 35 on the back.

Kohen Yeske followed with a 4-over 76 (37–39), while Parker Tenent posted a 6-over 78, improving from a 41 on the front to a 37 on the back.

Brooks Beach added a 7-over 79 (38–41), and Chase Austin rounded out the scoring with an 82 (42–40).

Round 2 – Jekyll Island GC (Pine Lakes)

Rhodes improved in round two with a team score of +5.

Brooks Beach recorded the low round of the day for the Lynx, shooting a 1-under 71 with nines of 36 and 35.

Parker Tenent Jr. followed with a 1-over 73 (36–37), and Chase Austin added a 2-over 74 after opening with an even-par 36 and finishing with a 38.

Christian Iwai carded a 3-over 75 (38–37), while Kohen Yeske posted a 6-over 78 (40–38).

Round 3 – Jekyll Island GC (Indian Mound)

In the final round, Rhodes shot +16 as a team to finish the tournament at +34 overall, tying for 26th place.

Christian Iwai led Rhodes once again with a 1-over 73, shooting 36 on the front nine and 37 on the back.

Chase Austin followed with a 3-over 75 (39–36), improving his score on the back nine.

Brooks Beach posted a 5-over 77, opening with an even-par 36 before finishing with a 41.

Parker Tenent Jr. and Kohen Yeske each carded 7-over 79 rounds. Tenent went 40–39, while Yeske shot 44 on the front and rebounded with a 35 on the back.

Tournament Summary

Rhodes finished tied for 26th overall at +34 (13–5–16) across the three rounds.

Christian Iwai paced the Lynx with rounds of 68, 75, and 73, while Brooks Beach added rounds of 79, 71, and 77, including the team's lowest round of the tournament in round two.
