Match Recap vs. Belhaven University
The Rhodes College women's tennis team delivered a dominant performance Saturday morning, sweeping Belhaven University 7–0.
Rhodes controlled the match from the outset, securing the doubles point with convincing wins at No. 1 and No. 2. Sofia Rodriguez and Taylor Nash opened with a 6-1 victory, while Lilly Higgins and Violet Taub followed with a 6-0 win. The No. 3 doubles court was uncontested.
The Lynx carried that momentum into singles play, where they did not drop a game in completed matches.
Agda Laakso led the way at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win, and Gracie Rask matched that scoreline at No. 2. Claudia Ribeiro and Grace May followed with identical 6-0, 6-0 victories at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively.
Matches at No. 5 and No. 6 singles were uncontested.
Match Recap vs. Millsaps College
The Rhodes College women's tennis team continued its dominant day with a 7–0 sweep of Millsaps College Saturday afternoon.
Rhodes once again set the tone in doubles, sweeping all three matches to take the early point. Agda Laakso and Lilly Higgins earned a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles, while Gracie Rask and Claudia Ribeiro followed with a 6-1 victory at No. 2. Sofia Rodriguez and Violet Taub completed the sweep with a 6-3 decision at No. 3.
The Lynx carried that momentum into singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets.
Rask led the way with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles, while Laakso added a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 2. Higgins secured a 6-4, 6-3 decision at No. 3, and Rodriguez battled to a 7-5, 6-1 win at No. 4.
Ribeiro dominated at No. 5 with a 6-0, 6-0 result, and Taub closed out the match with a 6-0, 6-3 victory at No. 6.
With the win, Rhodes capped off a perfect day and started conference play off with a win, continuing to build momentum as the season progresses.
