In the final round of the Port City Classic,
Lauren Schwing fired a career low 69 (-2). The junior from Effingham, IL, cashed in six birdies, two of which were chip-ins from off the green,
which vaulted her to a 2nd place individual finish. "What a great round by Lauren. One of the best in my 18 years of coaching golf," said Lynx head coach
Mike Clary.
"
Kaylie Hui continued her strong play with a 77 and a 3rd place individual finish.
Catie Bernoski improved by four strokes to shoot a collegiate low 77.
Avery Lent's ball striking was very good, but a few mistakes led her to shoot an 87.
"Our team score of 310 is a 2025-26 season low," said Coach Clary. Coach Clary went on to say, "our players have really grown in their course management, which led to getting up and down for a par or bogey. That's the key to great team golf."
The Lynx return to play March 20-22 at the Jekyll Island Collegiate.
