The Rhodes men's golf team competed at the Tiger Invitational hosted by Hampden-Sydney on March 9–10 at Forest Creek Golf Club (North Course). The Lynx finished 17th overall in the NCAA Division III event, posting a three-round total of 886 (+38) against a strong field.
Rhodes opened the tournament with a 294 (+6) in round one, followed by a 299 (+11) in round two before closing with a 313 (+21) in the final round.
Leading the way for the Lynx was Parker Tenent, who tied for 35th overall with a three-round total of 218 (+4). Tenent opened the tournament with an impressive 70 (-2) before adding rounds of 76 and 74 to finish as Rhodes' top performer.
Christian Iwai also finished tied for 35th, matching Tenent with a 218 (+4) total. Iwai posted rounds of 72, 74, and 74, showing consistent play throughout the event.
Kohen Yeske recorded rounds of 76, 73, and 83 to finish at 232 (+16), while Brooks Beach posted rounds of 76, 76, and 82 to finish with a 234 (+18) tournament total. Josh Phillips rounded out the Lynx lineup with scores of 79, 78, and 79 for a 236 (+20) tournament total.
Rhodes showed its strongest performance early in the tournament, shooting its best team round of 294 (+6) in the opening round and placing two golfers in the top 35 individually.
The Lynx will look to build on their experience at one of Division III's premier tournaments as they continue their spring season.
