The Rhodes College Women's Track & Field team competed this weekend at the University of South Alabama Jaguar Invite continuing to build momentum in the indoor season. Facing strong competition, the Lynx delivered standout performances across events. Several athletes recorded top finishes, season debuts, and great PRs!
Key Performances Included: Sprints:

● 200m Dash: Tatum Duncan ran an indoor PR of 25.66 seconds to finish 14th place, while Tanilya Clark ran 26.86 seconds, finishing 29th overall. Duncan's time is currently ranked #2 in the SAA!

● 400m Dash: Duncan continued her sprint dominance with 1:00.74, placing 18th, and junior Shannen Alack ran 1:02.34, finishing 22nd.

● 800m Run: In her indoor season opener, Junior Anna Cantrell had a standout performance, finishing 3rd overall with 2:17.17. Senior Ellie Spears finished 9th in 2:23.91, while freshmen Kate Hinson-Hume (2:26.96) and Anna Daso (2:29.16) made strong season debuts. Sophomore Nina Brown (2:31.19) and junior Gracie Ebenhoh (2:29.53) also contributed to strong performances. PR's by Cantrell, Spears, Hinson-Hume, Daso, and Ebenhoh! Cantrell's time is currently ranked #1 in the SAA!

● Mile Run: Riley Imbornone led the mile group with 5:25.56, placing 20th overall. Nina Brown (5:34.15), senior Vivian Kalb (5:34.99), and Caroline Wilder (5:36.57) all had solid performances. PR's by Brown & Wilder!

● 3000m Run: Sophomore Elena Gentry ran a solid race, finishing 6th overall in 10:35.51. Freshman Ali Di Lenardo (11:09.41), senior Abigail MacLean (11:13.60), senior Emma Henager (12:02.26) and freshman Caroline Bailey (12:59.92) also had strong finishes! PR's by MacLean & Henager! Gentry's time is currently ranked #3 in the SAA!

● High Jump: Junior Shannen Alack cleared 1.59m (5'2.5") to finish 7th overall. Shannen
is currently ranked #2 in the SAA for high jump!

● Shot Put: Freshman Andrea Holland threw 9.95m (32'7.75"), placing 20th.
Relays:
● 4x400m Relay: The Lynx relay team of Shannen Alack, Anna Cantrell, Kate Hinson-Hume, and Tatum Duncan ran a strong 4:09.10 to finish 6th overall. This time is currently ranked #2 in the SAA!
Despite challenging conditions and a busy indoor schedule, Rhodes Women's Track & Field showed resilience, depth, and competitiveness. With season debuts, top finishes, and high ranks across the SAA, the Lynx are poised to continue building momentum as they head into the final indoor meet and prepare for the SAA Conference Championships at Centre College.
