Women's Track & Field Open Season at Birmingham Indoor Icebreaker

Rhodes women's track and field opened the indoor season with a balanced and competitive set of performances across the sprints, mid-distance, relays, and field events at the Birmingham Indoor Icebreaker.

In the sprints, senior Olivia Freeman led the Lynx with a 7.80 in the 60 meters, placing 20th in the prelims. First-year Tanilya Clark followed with a 7.93. The 200 meters saw three Lynx finish inside the top 45, with Freeman running 25.91, first-year Tatum Duncan close behind at 25.92, and Clark finishing in 26.76.

Duncan also delivered a strong performance in the 400 meters, placing 17th with a time of 1:00.89. Junior Shannen Alack added a 1:02.41 in the event. In the mid-distance group, junior Gracie Ebenhoh placed 13th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:30.51.

Rhodes put together a solid relay showing as well, with the 4x400 team of Alack, Ebenhoh, Freeman, and Duncan combining for a time of 4:12.07.

In the field events, Alack placed 10th in the high jump, clearing 1.50m. In the pole vault, first-year Nora Rosenberg cleared 3.10m to finish 13th, while junior Mia Pulliam competed but did not record a height. Clark appeared again in the long jump, reaching 4.73m.

First-year Andrea Holland led Rhodes in the throws, marking 10.55m in the shot put and 9.07m in the weight throw.

Rhodes opened the season with steady early-season marks across the lineup and will continue to build momentum as the indoor schedule progresses.
