Rhodes College men's basketball standout Phil Dotson was named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Men's Basketball Player of the Week, as announced Tuesday by the organization.

Dotson averaged 29.0 points and 4.0 assists across two games for the Lynx during the week, highlighted by a dominant scoring performance against Westminster College. In just 27 minutes of action, he poured in 42 points on 15-of-22 shooting from the field, including a blistering 9-for-14 effort from beyond the arc. He also added three rebounds and two assists in the victory.

He followed that performance with 16 points and six assists in Rhodes' conference opener against Millsaps College, helping guide the Lynx through their first Southern Athletic Association contest of the season.

Through 12 games this season, Dotson is averaging 21.8 points and 3.1 assists, recording seven outings of 20 points or more. His selection marks the first TSWA Men's Basketball Player of the Week honor of the 2025–26 season for Rhodes.

Dotson joins an accomplished list of weekly honorees across the state and continues to be a key offensive presence for the Lynx as conference play gets underway.
