Rhodes women's tennis turned in a strong showing over the weekend with several standout performances in both singles and doubles.
In doubles, the team of Agda Laakso and Zainab Baba advanced all the way to the semifinals ultimately falling (1-8) to a pair of Emory Eagles, while the pairing of Gracie Rask and Lilly Higgins reached the quarterfinals falling (4-8) to another pair of Eagles.
On the singles side, both Rask and Laakso made runs to the round of 16. Freshmen Claudia Ribeiro and Grace May also impressed, each securing their first career singles and doubles victories as members of the Rhodes program.
It was a weekend that highlighted both the experience of veteran players and the promise of newcomers, giving the Lynx positive momentum early in the fall season.
