Rhodes shot 326 on Saturday in the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational to end the first round in 16th place.
 
Lauren Schwing led the Lynx with a 76 (+4) on Saturday, carding an even par 36 on the front 9. The junior from Effingham, IL, is tied for T/13th overall out of 121 players.   "What a great round by Lauren.  She was on target with her irons and looked in control of her game the whole day," said Rhodes head coach Mike Clary
 
Catie Bernoski, a freshman from the Netherlands, and Natalia Barragon, a freshman from Mexico, both  posted rounds of 81 in the 1st round.  Rounding out the Rhodes scores:  Avery Lent-88, Kaylie Hui-88, Maya Thomas-89 and Sophia Zamora-92.
 
"Today was the first college tournament for our five freshmen and they performed well," said Coach Clary.  "Tomorrow our goal is to play great golf and move up the leader board."
