Women's Lacrosse Claims Victory over Colonels

MEMPHIS, TN – Women's lacrosse returned to conference play with a commanding 17-11 win over Centre College on Sunday morning at Mason Field. With the victory, the Lynx improved to 7-5 overall and picked up their first SAA win of the season. Rhodes recognized their stellar seniors Anna Erskine, Sydney Rude, Bari Pinkett, Molly Heidrick, Sophia Rose, and Olivia Wood.

Key Performances: Rhodes wasted no time setting the tone, with Delaney O'Mailey and Anna Erskine scoring back-to-back goals in the opening minutes of the first quarter. Erskine and Caroline Kardian led the offensive charge with five goals apiece, each showcasing their scoring prowess in a fast-paced and physical contest. After a back-and-forth first quarter that ended with a narrow 4-3 lead for the Lynx, Rhodes broke things open in the second. They outscored the Colonels 5-2 in the frame behind standout plays from Kardian, Erskine, and Alban Erdle. The Lynx maintained their momentum into the third, again dominating the scoreboard with a 5-2 edge thanks to crisp passing, fast breaks, and key draw controls. Rhodes' offense was firing on all cylinders, with additional contributions from Payton Stevens (2 goals), Maddie BeVier, Sam Horowitz, Anna Samuelson, Erdle, and O'Mailey all found the back of the net.
