MEMPHIS, TN – Men's lacrosse celebrated Senior Day with a thrilling 11-9 win over Centre College on Sunday afternoon at Crain Field. The Lynx improved to 9-4 overall and a perfect 4-0 in SAA play, while handing Centre its first conference loss of the season. They celebrated

The game opened with a statement as Rhodes surged to a 4-0 lead in the first quarter behind goals from
John Mori,
Nate Simon,
Andrew Murphy, and
Liam Sullivan. The Lynx moved the ball with confidence and capitalized on early offensive opportunities, feeding off the energy of the home crowd. Centre answered with three goals in the second quarter to pull the score within one, but Rhodes responded with a strike from Murphy, who finished with a hat trick on the day. The Lynx carried a narrow 5-4 lead into halftime.
The second half was a back-and-forth battle, but the Lynx offense remained composed, and key goals from
Wyatt Bounds, Mori, and
Gavin Nagle helped Rhodes maintain an edge. In the fourth quarter, with the score tied to 8-8, Bounds broke through with a powerful dodge to reclaim the lead. Moments later, Murphy completed his hat trick with a critical goal off a feed from
Martin Maxim.
Drew Downes sealed the game with a clutch finish assisted by Sullivan with under five minutes left in regulation.
