The Women's tennis team opened SAA conference play this past weekend on the road. The Lynx traveled to Sewanee, Tennessee and Danville, Kentucky to take on two strong opponents. They went 1-1 on the weekend . They first took on the Sewanee Tigers on Saturday but unfortunately fell 0-7 despite strong effort from all positions.
Zainab Baba and
Lilly Higgins fought a tough match at the No. 2 doubles spot but ultimately fell 5-7.
The Lynx were able to put Saturday behind them and bounced back against the Centre Colonels, winning by a score of 4-1. No. 1 doubles pair,
Emma McHale and
Gracie Rask, defeated their opponent 6-4 and No. 3 doubles pair,
Sofia Rodriguez and
Anna Rush, defeated their opponent 6-2. On the singles side,
Gracie Rask won at the No. 1 spot and
Emma McHale was also victorious at the No. 2 spot.Â
Lilly Higgins clinched the victory for the Lynx at the No. 4 spot.
The Lynx continue conference play this weekend, as they will host Berry College on Saturday and Oglethorpe University on Sunday.
