Women's Track and Field Compete at Belhaven Invitational

The Rhodes women's track & field team had a standout showing at the Belhaven Invitational, highlighted by Zoe Curtis' victory in the hammer throw, Evan Duet's school record breaking throw in the javelin, and multiple podium finishes from Kym Young in the throws and jumps.

Key Performances:

  • Evan Duet finished 1st in the javelin throw, and broke the school record with her throw of 38.65m.
  • Zoe Curtis secured 1st place in the hammer throw (42.56m), placed 3rd in the shot put (10.98m), and 3rd place in the javelin.
  • Kylee Craig dominated the pole vault, winning 1st place with a clearance of 2.91m.

  • Kym Young had a busy day, finishing 2nd in the shot put (11.18m), 5th in the high jump (1.50m), and 8th in the discus throw (32.67m).

  • Olivia Freeman placed 4th in the 100m dash (12.41s) against a tough field.

  • Esther Lamb finished 3rd in the 400m hurdles (1:11.08) and 5th in the 100m hurdles (16.84s).

  • The women's 4x400m relay team placed 4th in 4:31.90, rounding out the strong team effort.

Looking Forward: Rhodes Women Continue Outdoor Season

With strong performances in throws, sprints, and hurdles, the Lynx will look to build on their success as they progress and compete at the Washington University Invitational in St. Louis.
