The sun was shining over Crain Field in Memphis, TN, as the Rhodes Lynx took to the turf with confidence, ready to face the Haverford College Squirrels.
Rhodes struck first, with Gavin Nagle firing a perfect shot past the Haverford goalie, assisted by Liam Sullivan. The momentum grew as Sullivan himself scored an unassisted goal, followed by a pinpoint strike from Andrew Murphy, putting the Lynx up 3-1 in the first period. The crowd roared its approval, but Haverford was quick to respond, tying the game by the end of the quarter.
The second period was a test of endurance. Rhodes fought hard, with Nick Bilotti scoring off a sharp assist from Nagle, but Haverford's offense proved relentless. By halftime, Rhodes trailed 8-4, but the Lynx were far from finished.
After regrouping during the break, Rhodes came out swinging in the third period. John Mori and Dylan Farley struck early, sparking hope. Wyatt Bounds and Nagle added to the tally, closing the gap to 9-8. The Lynx were within reach, but Haverford found their rhythm again, extending the lead before the quarter ended.

Nate Simon and Wyatt Bounds added goals as well, their determination evident in every play. The Lynx outscored Haverford 5-4 in the final quarter, thrilling the crowd with their never-give-up attitude.
Despite their valiant effort, the early deficit proved too steep to overcome. The final whistle blew with the score at 15-13 in favor of Haverford, but Rhodes left the field with heads held high. The Lynx will look to bounce back when they travel to Berry College to begin SAA Conference play on March 28 at 5pm.
