Women's Track and Field With Strong Performance

The Rhodes College Track & Field team delivered a series of standout performances across sprints, mid-distance, distance, jumps, and throws in their latest meet, the University of Alabama Birmingham Green and Gold Invite. With personal records (PRs), top finishes, and improvements in multiple events, both the men's and women's teams showed promising progress in a DI heavy meet as one of two DIII teams competing today.  

Sprints & Hurdles:
- 60m Dash: Junior Olivia Freeman delivered a stellar performance, running 7.76 seconds to finish 10th. 
- 60m Hurdles: Weilmuenster returned with a 9.99-second run.  
- 400m Dash: Sophomore Shannen Alack ran a PR of 1:02.13, while senior Esther Lamb finished in 1:05.61.  

Mid-Distance & Distance Events:
- 600m: Sophomore Grace Ebenhoh placed 23rd in 1:48.28.
- 800m: Freshman Elena Gentry clocked an impressive 2:25.53 to finish 12th.
- Mile: Gentry returned with another solid performance, finishing 13th in 5:16.27.
- 3000m: Junior Vivian Kalb ran a PR of 11:00.96, securing 8th place. Sophomore Riley Imbornone (11th, 11:11.24) and senior Hannah Jane Miller (16th, 11:16.11, PR) also had strong races.  

Jumps & Throws:
- Shot Put: Young threw 11.94m (39-02.25) to finish 13th.

Relays: 
- The Women's 4x400m 'B' Relay (Alack, Wilder, Ebenhoh, Gentry) finished 14th with 4:23.65.  

Summary
Rhodes Track & Field displayed strong performances across multiple disciplines, with multiple PRs, Division III rankings, and top finishes. The team will look to build on these successes as they continue their indoor season.
