MEMPHIS, TN – The Rhodes College Lynx put on a show for their home-opening performance against Centenary College (La.), securing a dominant 24-7 victory at Crain Field. With a balanced offense and strong defensive effort, the Lynx controlled the game from start to finish.

From the opening faceoff, Rhodes set the tone with early goals from
Drew Litner and
Drew Downes, establishing a quick lead. Centenary battled back, keeping the first quarter close at 5-4 in favor of Rhodes. However, the Lynx took complete control in the second quarter, rattling off seven unanswered goals to enter halftime with a 12-5 lead. The second half saw Rhodes continue their relentless pace, outscoring Centenary 8-0 in the third quarter. The Lynx's defensive unit applied constant pressure, forcing turnovers and limiting scoring opportunities.
Ihsan Omer dominated on the faceoff going 17-20 off possession while also having 7 ground balls.
Nick Bilotti was able to come up with 6 ground balls to help convert the momentum for the Lynx.
Gavin Nagle and
John Mori found the net multiple times, while
Miles Pollack and
Charlie Carmouche lead the attack with key assists. Rhodes never let up, finishing strong with a 4-2 fourth quarter to seal the 24-7 victory. 15 different Lynx were able to contribute to the final score.
