Women's Basketball Defeat Yellow Jackets

Game Recap: Rhodes vs. LeTourneau University

Rhodes delivered one of its most complete efforts of the season on November 25 at Mallory Gymnasium, defeating LeTourneau 76–59 to pick up its second win of the year. The Lynx opened with a dominant 25-point first quarter and never trailed, controlling the glass and finding rhythm across all four quarters.

Key Performances

Kelsey Willingham powered the Rhodes offense off the bench with a team-high 18 points on 7–14 shooting while adding 8 rebounds in 24 impact minutes.

In the starting unit, Avery Marsh turned in another balanced performance, finishing with 16 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals while shooting an efficient 8–12 from the floor.

Alyssa Bongiovanni anchored the interior with a massive 15-rebound, 10-point double-double, dominating the boards to help Rhodes finish with 56 total rebounds—its highest mark of the season.

AC Milam added 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, while Juliet Howell provided an efficient 8 points and 3 rebounds off the bench.

Game Highlights

Rhodes exploded early, shooting 53% in the first quarter and knocking down three threes to take a 25–13 lead. The Lynx extended that momentum into the third quarter, where they put together a decisive 24-point frame behind strong rebounding and transition scoring.

The Lynx owned the paint with 38 points inside and turned extra opportunities into 25 second-chance points, thanks in part to Bongiovanni, Marsh, and Willingham controlling the boards. Rhodes also received 32 bench points, continuing its theme of depth-driven production.

Up Next: Rhodes vs. University of the Ozarks

With the win, Rhodes moves to 2–5 and carries momentum into its next game against the University of the Ozarks on November 30, looking to continue sharpening its offense and rebounding presence as conference play approaches.
