Golfweek October ClassicÂ
The Lynx delivered a strong  two rounds at the Sandestin Resort – Raven Course, highlighted by an elite performance from Freshman Christian Iwai and consistent scoring throughout the lineup.
Round 1
Rhodes opened with steady play across the board, led by Christian Iwai, who carded an impressive 71 (E). Iwai went 34 (-1) on the front nine with consistent pars and a birdie, then held his composure on the back to finish even par and near the top of the leaderboard.
Parker Tenent Jr. and Chase Austin both posted 73 (+2). Tenent battled through a +2 front but settled with an even-par back nine. Austin started strong with an even-par front before a few bogeys on the back pushed him to +2.
Kohen Yeske finished with a 77 (+6) after a tough front nine but continued to compete with grit.
Josh Phillips closed the round with an 82 (+11), showing resilience down the stretch.
With three scores of 73 or better, the Lynx positioned themselves competitively after day one.
Round 2
Rhodes elevated its play in Round 2, once again led by standout Christian Iwai, who fired a phenomenal 67 (-4)—one of the lowest scores in the entire field. After an even 35 (E) on the front nine, Iwai caught fire on the back with a 32 (-4), including three straight birdies on holes 15–17. His two-day total of 138 (-4) launched him into 4th place overall.
Kohen Yeske bounced back strongly with a 71 (E), improving four shots from Round 1. He posted a 35 (-1) on the front and stayed steady on the back to finish even.
Parker Tenent Jr. added a 74 (+3), contributing another solid team score with birdies in both halves of the round.
Chase Austin followed with a 76 (+5), carding consistent pars but losing ground to a couple of big numbers.
Josh Phillips improved on the back nine to finish 77 (+6), showing determination and closing strong.
Overall
Through the two rounds, the Lynx showcased both star power and depth finishing seventh overall.Â
