The Rhodes Lynx showcased their dominance at Mallory Gymnasium on January 12, 2025, securing a convincing 80-62 victory over the Millsaps Majors. With a balanced team effort and sharp shooting from beyond the arc, Rhodes improved to 9-6 overall and remained undefeated in conference play at 2-0 in the SAA.

Key Performers:

  • Shawn Jones Jr. was unstoppable, registering a double-double with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. His versatility was key to Rhodes' success on both ends of the floor.
  • Trevor Lombard added a sharp-shooting performance, hitting four three-pointers en route to 14 points and grabbing 8 rebounds.

Rhodes set the tone early, shooting a blistering 52.38% from beyond the arc in the first half, with 11 three-pointers fueling a 45-41 halftime lead. Their balanced scoring and defensive rebounding created multiple second-chance opportunities, giving them control of the game.

They out-rebounded Millsaps 42-33, with 13 offensive rebounds contributing to 18 second-chance points. Rhodes' bench played a pivotal role, scoring 24 points compared to Millsaps' 17. Max Adelman led that charge with 9 points off the bench, including two crucial three-pointers.
