Wednesday, September 25– The Rhodes Men's Soccer team achieved a 1-0 win against the Belhaven University Blazers on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at home in Memphis, TN. Ben Novello scored the only goal of the match just before halftime in the 43rd minute after cleaning up a corner knockdown. The Rhodes defense delivered another shutout, making that two total shutouts in the previous two games.

The Lynx, currently ranked No. 6 in the region, recorded their fifth win of the season, maintaining their perfect home record. Holding the Blazers (3-2-3) to 4 shots, and only one on target, the Lynx had a firm grip on the game. 

It took the Lynx 43 minutes to break the deadlock with a knockdown finish from a corner by Sophomore standout Ben Novello. Further, freshman Matthew Sucato picks up his second assist of the season. 

Despite managing some direct pressure from the Blazers, the Lynx escaped with yet another shutout.
