The Rhodes College Field Hockey team was back in Danville, Kentucky, this weekend to face the Ohio Wesleyan Bishops on September 14, 2024, and the Allegheny College Alligators on September 15, 2024. The two matches challenged the Lynx and was another presentation of the skills they possess. The first game of the weekend saw the Lynx fall 1-4 however, the team turned it around on Sunday with an 8-0 win against Allegheny College to end the weekend.

The Ohio Wesleyan Bishops were challenging opponents. Olivia Danley and Avery Slucher both scored late in the first quarter at 13:54 and 14:54, ending the first quarter 0-2. Rhodes came back strong when senior, Sheela Vasan, shot and found the back of the cage at 22:45 to end the half 1-2. Despite the efforts of the Lynx, Ohio Wesleyan players Emma Morgeson and Grace Ammon, scored again at 33:17 and 56:55 to defeat the Lynx 1-4.

Rhodes College brought the heat to their game against Allegheny. To start the game, first-year Izzy Hendricks scored off a penalty corner at 2:59. Following shortly after, Virginia Schuff and Maria Zaporozhski both found the back of the cage at 4:53 and 9:05 to end the first quarter. The Lynx carried the same determination and fire into the second quarter. Sheela Vasan and Meredith Dunn both scored at 18:55 and 20:36. Soon after Izzy Hendricks Knocked in the ball twice more at 21:03 and 25:49, earning a hat trick. Lastly, Bella Spina found the net one last time to seal the score at 8-0, a big win for the Lynx and a true showcase of their abilities. Rhodes college players Izzy Hendricks, Maria Zaporozhski, Meredith Dunn, and Virginia Schuff all secured their first collegiate goals during this game.

· Sam Holke: Played crucial defense in a high intensity game and aided in no goals being scored against Rhodes.
