Coming off yet another SAA win, the Rhodes College Lynx hit the road to wrap up regular season play this weekend, first against the Transylvania University Pioneers.
Right off the first whistle, the Lynx were determined to start strong. Sophomore Caroline Kardian landed the first goal for the Lynx, assisted by senior Molly Martiner. To add to the board, senior Chloe Parker took the ball straight to the cage with an absolute ringer of a goal. The Pioneers answered back with an unassisted goal. Junior Anna Erskine was able to take yet another dodge and place it in the back of the net. Junior Molly Heidrick adds her first goal of the game, followed by another goal by Caroline Kardian. Molly Martiner sent in two more feeds that resulted in goals by Parker and Erskine to seal the first quarter at 9-3.
Molly Martiner opened the second quarter with an unassisted goal and then fed Jules Dalessandro for a shot and goal. Caroline Kardian secured her hat-trick on the day with another first-half goal. Following, Molly Heidrick gets back into the mix, going unassisted, as Avery Burke seals the half with another goal, assisted by Martiner. Martiner finalized the score, making it 14-6 at halftime.
