On a beautiful Sunday morning in Madison, NJ , Rhodes faced #16 Stevens Tech (Hoboken, NJ) in the Inaugural Leanos Cup Championship. Despite the early morning start, both teams started unleashing shots from all over culminating in over 50 shots (combined) in the 1st half. Stevens held a 7-3 at halftime off over a 32-20 shot advantage. The 2nd half started out more deliberately, Rhodes was able to cut the lead to 3, down 7-4 early in the 3rd quarter. But, the Ducks outscored the Lynx 5-2 in the final 25 minutes to prevail.
It was a very successful Spring Break going 2-1 and a first half of the season playing a ultra-competitive national non-conference schedule (6-4) with teams from New York, Virginia, New Jersey, Texas, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Alabama. Now we move into SAA conference action which is always extremely hard fought.
