Â
In the fourth, the Lynx rallied back as they have so many times this year, knotting the score at 4. RBIs were recorded by Rush Bowman (single), Keith Adams (HBP), and Dante Messina (single).Â
Â
First out of the bullpen was freshman Andrew Carron, who pitched 2 â…“ innings of shutout baseball, punching out 3.Â

Reid Lampert relieved Carron and pitched 1 â…” innings, giving up a solo HR in the ninth as the only recorded hit against him.  Â
Â
In the bottom of the ninth, Ben Burkhart continued to mash, lining a leadoff triple off the right field wall. Eli Selby then lined a ball off the shortstop's glove and got on base, but Burkhart was unable to advance on the play, as the ball was kept in the infield. Freshman Clay Richardson then came in to pinch run for Selby. Then, Dante Messina, yet again, came through in a clutch spot with a huge single up the middle, scoring Burkhart and tying the game at 5.Â
Â
Finally, Corbin Kinder stepped up to the plate and lined a walk-off single into center field, scoring Richardson from second.Â
Â
The Lynx are back in action tomorrow as they take on Maryville College in the penultimate game of their spring break week.
