On Wednesday, the Rhodes Women's Tennis team played their home opener at the Dunavant Tennis Complex against Hendrix College, dominating the match with an 8-1 victory.
At No. 1 Doubles,
Zainab Baba and
Gracie Rask fell short 8-3 to the Warriors.
Emma McHale and
Anna Rush pulled out the victory in a tiebreaker at No. 2 Doubles. At No. 3 doubles,
Sofia Rodriguez and
Mijntje Blank clinched a convincing 8-2 match, putting the Lynx up 2-1 heading into the singles matches.
The Lynx swept every position at singles, with strong wins from
Gracie Rask,
Emma McHale,
Sofia Rodriguez,
Zainab Baba,
Taylor Nash, and
Mijntje Blank.
The Lynx will move to 1-1 on the season and take on Shorter University at 3 pm on February 29 at the Dunavant Tennis Complex.
