To begin the game, the Lynx won the jump-ball leading to a
Jack Dempsey layup through two defenders. Rhodes was in full control of the entire first half as their intense man-to-man made Centre unable to score. The Lynx shot 50% from the field, 36% from three, and 100% from the stripe in the first. Rhodes dominated all of Centre's defensive schemes and held them to just 22 points in the first half. The halftime score was 45-22.
The scoring in the second half was much closer as Rhodes only outscored Centre by 3, but the Lynx's first half dominance was too much for Centre to overcome in the end. The final score was 85-59 in favor of Rhodes.
