Match Recap: Rhodes vs. Centre
The Lynx, ranked No. 1 in the conference after winning the regular season, were facing a battle tested Centre team coming off a win against Berry in the SAA quarterfinals. Despite being their only home loss this season, Rhodes were able to get the best of Centre this time around.
The Lynx dominated the first half with 10 shots and constant pressure from the offense. With a stout defensive performance, the Lynx allowed no shots and no corners to the Colonels in the first half. Despite more pressure being added in the second half by both teams, the match was tied 0-0 at the end of regulation. The first OT period saw more shots and corners by Rhodes with no final product. However, in the second OT period, after 102 minutes played, Sophomore Max Sosa got on the end of a corner taken by Senior Hardy Smith to take the Lynx to victory.
