The Lynx faced a tough loss in the SAA Championship game against the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels on Sunday, November 10th, in Memphis, Tennessee. The game was neck and neck with strong defensive performances for both the Lynx and the Stormy Petrels. The game went into double overtime, with the final goal coming from a defensive miscue. The Lynx fought hard against the #2 seed Oglethorpe however, they fell short in the end.

The Lynx ended their season with a tough loss. Within this close game, many players stood out while on the field. Hardy Smith fired a shot in the 15th minute that nearly slipped past the opposing keeper. The game was held in high suspense, with lots of quick switches of possession and quick movement on the field.
The Rhodes defense held strong anchored by senior Eli Pilcher who made many crucial recoveries to hold off the Stormy Petrals. Senior goalkeeper, Nate Slota, had 5 saves marking his season high in conference play.
With two minutes to go in the second half of overtime, a low cross was sent in by an Oglethorpe defender and saw the back of the net due to a defensive miscue.

This was the final game of the 2024 season, ending with a strong overall record of 11-5. The Lynx stuck together and fought hard throughout the season to earn the runner-up title.
