Rhodes College Field Hockey has emerged as a powerhouse in the Collegiate Field Hockey Conference (CFHC) during the league's inaugural season, taking home top honors in three of the conference's major awards. After capturing the regular season CFHC championship, Rhodes' senior stars RC Kugler and Catherine Gluodenis were named Defensive Player of the Year and Goalie of the Year, respectively, while head coach Laura Hurff earned the Coach of the Year title.
These awards cap a historic season for Rhodes, which showcased exceptional defensive and coaching leadership, as well as a program-wide commitment to excellence and teamwork.

Defensive Player of the Year: RC Kugler, Senior, Woodstown, NJ
Kugler anchored the Rhodes defense with unmatched poise and tactical skill, helping the Lynx limit conference opponents to a mere four goals. Kugler's tenacity was instrumental in Rhodes' four shutouts, including dominant performances against CFHC rivals Marian and Concordia. In addition to her defensive strength, Kugler contributed four goals and led the conference with nine assists, cementing her role as both a defensive and offensive asset.

Goalie of the Year: Catherine Gluodenis, Senior, Landenberg, PA
Gluodenis topped the CFHC in net, allowing only four goals across 300 minutes in conference play. The senior was a force in goal, recording double-digit saves in four games, including a remarkable 15 saves against Christopher Newport. With a league-best .840 save percentage in conference games, Gluodenis' performance was pivotal to Rhodes' championship season.

Coach of the Year: Laura Hurff- a decorated player and veteran coach, Hurff took over the Lynx prior to the start of the 2024 season guided and the program to its 15th overall conference title and first CFHC crown. She mentored two CFHC Players of the Year and six all-conference performers.
