The Rhodes College Field Hockey team was back at home, in Memphis, this weekend for two exciting matches. On Saturday October 5, 2024, they faced off against the Concordia University Falcons. The following day on October 6, 2024, they battled the Marian University Sabres. The lynx ended the weekend with a 7-0 and 6-0 victory. With a total of 13 goals scored by 10 different players, the team showcased their exceptional talent and ability to seize offensive opportunities.

The Rhodes Lynx came out to this game with intensity and grit, excited to play back on their home turf. Sophomore Bella Spina started off the scoring at 13:24 to put the Lynx on the board, ending the first quarter with a 1-0 lead. The Lynx didn't stop there, Sheela Vasan scored early in the second quarter at 19:17. Shortly after Virginia Schuff and Maria Zaporozhski both found the back of the net at 25:57 and 26:15 to end the half with a 4-0 lead. But Lynx didn't stop there, Abbie Wallace and Layla Anderson both secured their first collegiate goals at 42:25 and 44:38. Ending the game senior, RC Kugler put one more in the cage to end the game 7-0.

The Lynx played this game with the same fire. First-year Izzy Hendricks scored the first two goals for the lynx at 19:14 and 30:00 to end the first half 2-0. Elinor West deflected a shot into the cage off a penalty corner at 36:28 The next two goals were scored by Maria Zaporoshski and Grace Utz at 41:41 and 50:01. Finally, Abbie Wallace found the back of the net one final time at 58:21. The Lynx finished the match, winning 6-0.
