On Friday, January 26th, the Division III College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America released its updated national rankings. The Rhodes College Women's Swim and Dive team was ranked 23rd nationally by the association. This recognition is a prestigious honor for the team as they prepare for the upcoming 2024 Southern Athletic Association Championship, where they will defend their title as the reigning champions. 
The Women's Swim and Dive athletes competed against Sewanee and the University of Tennessee Southern, completing their regular season with an undefeated record of 8-0. The Lynx defeated the Sewanee Tigers 165:68 and the UT Firehawks 186:21. 
Eliza Hulverson was dominant, finishing 1st in 50 and 100 yards at 24.86 seconds and 54.44 seconds, respectively. Adeline Carroll finished 1st in the 200-yard and 2nd in the 100-yard freestyle. Freshman Taylor McNerney finished 1st in the 500 yd. Free, Sarah Bradford Seawright finished 1st in the 1000 yd. Free, Gracie Shapard finished 1st in the 200 yd. Back, and Paxton Smythe finished 1st in the 200 yd. IM. In the diving events, Anabelle Morle finished 1st in 1M (5 dives) and 2nd in 1M (6 dives). In the relays, Rhodes A won the medley with a time of 3:58.99, and Rhodes D clocked the best time in the freestyle with a time of 3:40.72. 
The Women are honored with this ranking of 23rd of all Division III Swim and Dive teams and plan to use it as motivation, approaching the SAA Conference Championship February 7th – February 10th at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
