Women's Swimming and Diving Remain In 3rd On Day Three Of The Championship

The Women's Swim and Dive holds onto third place, following short behind Centre College (in 2nd). 

The evening opened up with the 100 Yard Butterfly, and Rhodes' Charlotte Hill took 2nd place in the A final (58.07) and Madolyn Holmes took 3rd in the B-final (1:00.45). In the 400 Yard IM, Charlotte Hill makes the podium again in 3rd with a time of 4:37.15. Additionally, Kendall Mitzel claimed first in the B-final with a time of 4:43.32. In the 200 Yard Freestyle, Makenna Mitzel took third in the B-final with a time of 1:58.02. 100 Yard Breaststroke, senior Paxton Smythe dominated in first place with a time of 1:04.52, and Kallen Huth took second place in the B-final with a time of 1:09.25. In the next race, the 100 Yard Backstroke, Gracie Shapard claimed 1st place with a time of 56.58. 

In the final event of the evening, the 400 Yard Medley, Both the A and B teams claimed 2nd place. The A-final team (Gracie Shapard, Paxton Smythe, Charlotte Hill, Taylor Mcnerney) had a time of 3:52.70 and the B-final team (Ainsley Clark, Autumn Bruns, Kate Pierros, Makenna Mitzel) had a time of 4:02.71.

Looking ahead: SAA Championships Day Four

The Lynx will finish out the SAA Championship on Saturday, February 14th, with a final opportunity for the athletes to demonstrate their skills . Fans are encouraged to support the Lynx as they swim for the number one spot in the SAA.
