This past Monday, the Women's Swimming and Diving traveled to Sewanee, Tennessee, to compete in a dual meet against Sewanee: University of the South and UT Southern. The women absolutely crushed both schools, defeating Sewanee 165-68 and UT Southern 186-21, going 2-0 on the meet. These wins guaranteed an undefeated season for the Lynx and were the final regular season matchups before the SAA conference championships in early February.
Eliza Hulverson was dominant, finishing 1st in both the 50 and 100 yd. Freestyle races with times of 24.86 and 54.44. Adeline Carroll finished 1st in the 200 yd. Freestyle and 2nd in the 100. Freshman Taylor McNerney finished 1st in the 500 yd. Free, Sarah Bradford Seawright finished 1st in the 1000 yd. Free, Gracie Shapard finished 1st in the 200 yd. Back, and Paxton Smythe finished 1st in the 200 yd. IM.
In the diving events, Anabelle Morle finished 1st in 1M (5 dives) and 2nd in 1M (6 dives)
In the relays, Rhodes A won the medley with a time of 3:58.99, and Rhodes D clocked the best time in the freestyle with a time of 3:40.72.
The Lynx have just under two weeks to prepare before they head to the SAA Championships on February 7th.
