The Rhodes College Lynx traveled to Conway, Arkansas, for their regular season finale vs.
Hendrix College. A highly contested game from the beginning saw both teams score 4 times in
the 1st quarter. The 2nd period opened up with turnovers for both squads as they fought the
elements with the wind, often carrying the ball out of the field of play. Rhodes and Hendrix
were locked up at 4-4 heading into the 2nd half.
In the second half, Rhodes came out strong and dominated the middle of the field, outscoring
Hendrix 5-1. A major contributor was the excellent play of Junior defenders
Zach Stock and
Thomas Monzeglio. The tide turned in the 4th as Hendrix controlled the majority of faceoffs
and took the edge on groundballs. However, The Lynx defense was stifling and limited the
Hendrix to only 2 tallies in the 4th quarter.
The game ended with a final score of 11-7 in favor of Rhodes College. It was a hard-fought
victory for the team, with standout performances from several players, including goalkeeper
Charlie Herlocher whose late-game heroics sealed the win for the Lynx.
